Open Question: Should I try IMTA (not the basic story you hear about it)?

I've read up about it and I understand that most people say that hey pick anybody and it's a scam but I think I might be a little of an exception. I auditioned for Starbound not knowing about this competition until the date of the auditions. I was offered this because they believe I have talent I can support this because my evaluation date times got mixed up and I ended up showing up an hour later. I heard them talking to another girl about my age telling her she wasn't ready yet. So that is my first thing, they didn't pick everyone at SB NYC and they didn't do the picking because of money because they knew nothing personal about us besides basic information. Second is that Alyson Stoner and Katie Holmes were part of this mother agency and got discovered, they've also explained on how because they only bring small groups of talented kids instead of large groups on questionably talented kids the agents often look forward to who they bring. The fee is not cheap and is in the thousands and I have done research and it is definately true hundreds of agents go there finding it a very useful place to scope for new talent. Lastly, they aren't requiring me to take any classes, in fact any classes I take there if I sign up for IMTA are free! So I need an opinion on whether I should go. I've been in plays and small students films and all my friends agree I can act I can even fake cry. So I need an opinion, please leave one :)... Read More »
